Albert Einstein once said "everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." There's truth to that, and also, I just plain like quoting people.
The examples on the left of this page aren't all necessarily the simplest, primarily because either 1) the project itself wasn't simple and/or 2) they're just one in a series of supporting documents for said project.
